Romanzia uses a customer's own decorative fabric to make Romanzia Roller Shades. First, we
custom fuse the decorative fabric to one of our own special linings. Then we cut it, sew it, and trim it to
the customer's exact specifications. Finally, we fit it to the customer's choice of bead-chain clutch, spring
roller, or motorized roller.
Standard Features
- Heat-Fused
Black-Out or Translucent Lining.
- Clutch Roller Mechanism with Bead-Chain Lift.
- Regular or Reverse Roll.
Available Options
- Premium Spring
Roller Mechanism.
- Shade Toppers.
- Scalloped & Trimmed Hems.
- Motorization.
Scallops & Trim
Shade hems are available in a variety of styles as pictured here.
They can be finished with 1) trim supplied by the customer, 2) double-welt trim
covered with the customer's fabric (an extra yard of fabric is needed to make double-welt
trim - one yard may be enough to make trim for several shades or toppers), or 3) French
Gimp trim (Romanzia maintains a stock of over 150 colors of French Gimp trim).
Clutch Rollers
Our clutch roller mechanism (which is standard) allows
the shade to be raised and lowered by pulling a side-mounted chain loop.
Clutch Rollers come with specially designed universal brackets that can be used
for all types of mounting.

Optional Spring Rollers
Romanzia uses the highest quality spring
rollers available. Our spring mechanisms roll smoothly on ball bearings and are easy
to stop and release. Romanzia uses all-metal roller tubes.
Spring rollers are available with your choice of Inside Brackets, Outside Brackets,
Ceiling Brackets, or Footless Brackets (for inside mounts with shallow window
casings).
Motorization
Heavy-duty 110-volt roller shade lift systems are available with a wide
variety of hardwired switch and remote control options.
Maximum Roller Shade Width
Fabric Width = Maximum Roller Shade Width
We have found over the years that it
is best to limit the size of our roller shades to the width of a customer's
fabric - up to 54 inches wide.
Cleaning
When needed, Romanzia shades may be
cleaned as they hang in place. Use a brush, vacuum cleaner, or dry cleaning
process (if recommended by the face fabric manufacturer).
Measuring Notes
When measuring and ordering, please specify the shade width and
window height to the nearest 1/8 inch. Also specify whether the width measure
is Tip to Tip, Cloth, Jamb to Jamb, or Bracket to Bracket.
Also note whether the shade is to be mounted inside the window casing or
outside the window casing.

Roller Shade Width Terms
Jamb to Jamb Width - indicates the exact inside
dimension of the window casing that a shade must fit into.
Bracket to Bracket Width - indicates the distance between the outside edges
of a pair of mounted outside brackets.
Tip to Tip Width - indicates the exact width of the shade including the pin
ends. If a shade is mounted inside a window casing, the tip to tip width will be 1/8 inch less than the jamb to
jamb measurement. If a shade is mounted outside a window casing, the tip to tip width will be exactly the same as the bracket to bracket measurement.
Cloth Width - is the exact width of the shade cloth. The cloth width of a shade is about 1 inch
less than the tip to tip width.
Roller Shade Length Terms
Window Height - indicates the exact dimension
of the window casing that a shade must fit into or the exact height of the window area that a shade must cover.
Finished Shade Length - is the window height plus-roll up (about 12 inches of
extra length is wrapped around the roller).

Measuring Notes
When measuring and ordering,
please specify toptreatment face width, length, and return depth (standard
return depth is 3 1/2 inches). Also note whether the toptreatment is to be
mounted inside the window casing or outside the window casing. When an inside
mount is specified, our workroom will make the proper clearance deductions. When
an outside mount is specified, the shade will be made the exact width and
length ordered.
