Standard Features
  • Choice of Top Quality Commercial Grade Fabrics
    Choose from a wide range of openness factors, colors, and textures. All of Romanzia shade fabrics are flame retardant.
  • Choice of Regular or Reverse Roll shades.
    These terms describe how a shade's cloth rolls off the top of the roller. Cloth rolls off the back of a regular roll shade. Cloth rolls off the front of a reverse roll shade. Regular roll will be furnished unless reverse roll is specified.
        
  • Sewn Bottom Hems with hidden weight.
  • Bead-Chain Clutch Lift Mechanism, heavy duty, with a 16-pound capacity, mounted in a 1-1/2" diameter steel roller tube.
    Romanzia clutch roller mechanisms allow a shade to be raised and lowered by pulling a side-mounted bead-chain loop. Standard bead-chain colors are nickel-plate and ivory. Ivory color chain will be provided if nickel-plate is not specified. Clutch Rollers come with specially designed universal mounting brackets that can be used for all types of mounting.

    Available Options
  • Spring Lift Mechanism, heavy duty, mounted in a 1-3/8" diameter steel roller tube.
    Romanzia spring mechanisms roll smoothly on ball bearings and are easy to stop and release. Spring rollers are available with a choice of Inside Brackets, Outside Brackets, Ceiling Brackets, or Footless Brackets (for inside mounts with a shallow window casing). Minimum spring roller width is 20" tip-to-tip. Spring roller shades are furnished with a choice of pull:
    1. Brass ring attached with a strap of matching shade-cloth (standard unless another pull is specified).
    2. White or ivory crocheted ring pull.
    3. White or ivory tassel pull.
    4. Clear plastic pull.
  • Aluminum Fascia
    Fascia snaps onto special clutch roller shade brackets. Fascia height is 3". Bracket depth is 3". Standard finishes are bronze, aluminum, white, and vanilla. Available for clutch roller shades only.
  • Scallops & Trimmed Hems
    Shade hems are available in a variety of styles as pictured here. They can be finished with 1) trim supplied by the customer, 2) double-welt trim covered with the customer's fabric (an extra yard of fabric is needed to make double-welt trim - one yard may be enough to make trim for several shades or toppers), or 3) French Gimp trim (Romanzia maintains a stock of over 150 colors of French Gimp trim).

  • Bottom-Up Shades.
    A spring roller at the bottom keeps the shade in constant tension while the hem is lifted with a cord through a locking pully at the top of the window. Available up to 72" wide.
  • Residential Specification Clutch Rollers.
    Shades up to 60" wide an 84" long may be ordered with a residential specification 1" diameter steel roller tube and a 8 lb. capacity RollEase bead-chain clutch.
  • Residential Specification Spring Rollers.
    Shades up to 54" wide and 72" long may be ordered with a residential specification 1" diameter steel roller tube and a 1" diameter spring roller.
  • Stationary Panels.
    Flat panels of shade fabric are fastened (stapled) to a wood headrail. Bottom hem is sewn with a hidden hem bar and hangs free. Hook and Loop attachment is optional.
  • Angled Top Stationary Panels.
    Flat panels of shade fabric are fastened (stapled to a wood headrail. Top is angled to fit your precise measurements or match your template. Bottom hem is sewn with a hidden hem bar and hangs free. Hook and Loop attachment is optional.
  • Arched Top Stationary Panels.
    Flat panels of shade fabric are fastened to a wood frame to match your template.
  • Exposed Aluminum Hem Bar
    Extruded aluminum with a bronze, aluminum, white, or vanilla finish.
  • Spline Attachment.
    Shade is attached to a specially groved aluminum roller with a flexible spline.
  • Side Channel.
    Extruded aluminum, one-piece, U-shaped, with bronze, aluminum, white, or vanilla finish. 2-1/2" wide, 7/8" deep Cut to length.
  • Top-Back Roller Cover.
    Extruded aluminum, one piece, L-shaped, with bronze, aluminum, white, or vanilla finish. 3" high x 3" deep. Cut to width. Usually used with matching aluminum fascia.
  • Sill.
    Extruded aluminum, with a bronze, aluminum, white, or vanilla finish. Cut to width. Used, if needed, with side channels.
  • Motorization
    Heavy-duty 110-volt roller shade lift systems are available with a wide variety of hardwired switch and remote control options.


    Additional Information
  • Cleaning
    When needed, Romanzia shades may be cleaned as they hang in place. Use a brush or vacuum. Mild soap and water may be used to clean Sheerweave an Triglas vinyl-coated fabrics.
  • Measuring Notes
    When measuring and ordering, please specify the shade width and window height to the nearest 1/8". Also specify whether the width measurement is Jamb-to-Jamb, Bracket-to-Bracket, Tip-to-Tip, or cloth. Also note whether the shade is to be mounted inside the window casing or outside the window casing.
  • Length Terms
    Window Height - indicates the exact dimension of the window casing that a shade must fit into or the exact height of the window area that a shade must cover.
    Finished Shade Length - is the window height plus roll-up (about 12" of extra length is wrapped around the roller).

  • Width Terms
    Jamb-to-Jamb Width - indicates the exact inside dimension of the window casing that a shade must fit into.
    Bracket-to-Bracket width - indicates the distance between the outside edges of a pair of mounted outside brackets.
    Tip-to-Tip Width - indicates the exact width of a shade including the end pins. If a shade is mounted inside a window casing, the tip-to-tip width will be 1/8" less than the jamb-to-jamb measurement. If a shade is mounted outside a window casing, the tip-to-tip width will be the same as the bracket-to-bracket measurement.
    Cloth Width - is the exact width of the shade cloth. The cloth width of a shade is about 1-1/8" less than the tip-to-tip width.
