How to wind a spring roller using its own brackets:
Pull the shade hem down about a foot - or until you feel tension building in the spring. Allow the spring to lock. Then remove the shade from its brackets.
Roll the shadecloth back up by hand. Then put the shade back up in its brackets.
Repeat if necessary.
How to unwind a spring roller using its own brackets:
Raise the hem to near the top of the window. Allow the spring to lock. Then remove the shade from its brackets.
Roll about a foot of shadecloth off the roller by hand. Then put the unrolled shade back up in its brackets.
