Measuring

When measuring and ordering, please specify the window width and height to the nearest 1/8”. Also specify whether the width measurement is Jamb-to-Jamb or Bracket-to-Bracket:
Jamb-to-Jamb Measurement indicates the exact inside Jamb dimensions of the window casing that a shade must fit into. The shade cloth will measure about 1-1/4” less overall than the jamb to jamb measure.
Bracket to Bracket Measurement is used when the shade is to be mounted somewhere outside of the window casing. It indicates the distance between the outside edge of the left bracket and the outside edge of the right bracket. The shade cloth will measure about 1-1/8” less overall than the bracket to bracket measurement.
Outside Mount Overlap
Shades mounted outside the window casing should be allowed to overlap the window casing if possible. We recommend a bracket to bracket addition of at least 2-1/4” (1-1/8” on each side). This will result in a cloth width overlap of about 1/2” on each side. The more overlap, the better the coverage. Shade toppers should be ordered with a face width at least 1/2” wider than the shade’s bracket to bracket width.
The Window Height Measurement indicates the exact dimension of the window casing that a shade must fit into or the exact height of the area that a shade must cover. Romanzia will add about 12” of extra length to the shade - which will be wrapped around the roller.
