Somfy Motorized Headrail with Tube Lift Systems
To be used with Roman Shades manufactured, attached to the headrail, and corded by the customer. Such Roman Shades manufactured, attached, and corded by the customer must comply with ANSI/WCMA A100.11-2022 American National Standard for Safety of Corded Window Covering Products. Use of our motorized headrail does not in any way signify a shade’s compliance with the standard.
Motorized Roman Shade Headrails are made with your choice of Somfy RTS (radio remote controlled) motor mounted in a white powder coated roller with C-clips for attaching cords. The motorized roller comes mounted to a white mounting board that by default is 2.25” deep, 0.75” high, and whatever width is specified - up to 92” wide.
Lift Systems can be motorized with a wide variety of Somfy motors:
12 Volt DC Battery Powered Motors with internal Rechargeable Li-ion Batteries offer another great solution for windows where wiring would be difficult. Batteries must be recharged periodically. Solar chargers are available.
Somfy Roll-up 24 with built-in rechargeable battery – for shades 20 1/16” wide – 24” wide
Somfy Sonesse 28 with built-in rechargeable battery – for shades 24” wide – 60” wide
Somfy Sonesse Ultra 30 with built-in rechargeable battery – for heavier shades up to 92” wide
24 Volt DC Transformer-Powered Motors. Somfy offers a great selection of 24 Volt DC quiet motors for when low voltage wiring is preferred.

110 Volt AC Motors. Somfy AC Motors are strong, quiet, and dependable - the traditional choice for windows where 110 Volt power is available.

Somfy 28 and 30 Motorized Roman Headrail Kits
A Somfy Motorized Roman Head Kit has several options to choose from:
Headrail Board:
Can be either Fabric Covered, Painted or raw wood. A NO Board option is also available but requires additional assemble before use.
The Default Board Depth is 2.25" deep but can be deeper. Note if you need mare than 4" of depth it may be cheaper to use our no board option.
Your motor will be in a white powder coated aluminum tube
Mounted with brackets that must be removed to unmount the roller.
C-clips to match the number of cords you specify will be provided.
Cords and Shrouds are NOT provided.
Eye-screws for guiding outer cords inward are provided.
4 per shade unless requested.
A control option is required. Note some control options can handle more than one shade.
An appropriately sized Somfy motor chosen by the size and weight of the shade you want to motorized.
You can choose how they are powered from:
built-in rechargeable battery motors,
24V DC wired motors,
or 120Volt AC wired motors.
Rechargeable Motors require a charger. One 120V AC charger can be swapped between multiple shades. Solar chargers are also available.
24V DC low voltage motors require a constant power supply via either a shingle motor transformer (standard outlet) or a larger 24V DC power distribution panel (installed by an electrician).
Manual Clutch Tube Real Lift Systems
Chain Drive Roman Shades use a bead chain lift system to raise and lower the shade. Chains are provided with a tension device for child safety. The tension device must be installed for the shades to operate properly.
